There is no label which has ever documented the Medieval “Minnesang”, the German courtly love song, as extensively as Christophorus. A compilation in 11 discs in now presented, which includes authors such as Walther von der Vogelweide, Neidhart von Reuental and the so-called Monk of Salzburg. Pieces of trobadours and trouvéres from the French and Spanish territories are added, as are some spiritual incursions of these great poets – an incredibly rich journey through the sounds of Medieval Europe.
